Samip Morker, DO, is a board-certified interventional pain medicine specialist and anesthesiologist. Since 2018, he’s worked in private practice, serving patients at Stellar Pain and Spine Specialists in the Northside of Chicago and western suburbs, including Lincoln Park, Wicker Park, Lake View East, Ukrainian Village, Budlong Woods, Norwood Park West, Bucktown, Andersonville, River Forest, and Oak Park, Illinois.
Dr. Morker grew up in Sycamore, Illinois. He attended Benedictine University in Lisle, Illinois, for his undergraduate education, where he was a member of the Benedictine Scholars Program and the Tri-Beta Honor Society. He then attended Midwestern University in Lombard, Illinois, for medical school.
After earning his degrees, Dr. Morker moved to the city for a transition year internship at Swedish Covenant Hospital on the North Side of Chicago. He stayed for his residency at Rush, University, as well as his fellowship at Cook County Hospital.
While earning his credentials, Dr. Morker participated in research, presentations, and community awareness for hyperlipidemia, fluoroscopy, and other topics that he applies frequently while working with individuals at Stellar Pain and Spine Specialists. He performs treatments like vertebroplasty, spinal cord stimulation, cortisone shots, and nerve blocks.
Dr. Morker attends conferences regularly to expand his education and provide up-to-date care. He is a current member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the ASA Political Action Committee, and the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians.
When he isn’t collaborating with patients to help them manage painful conditions and injuries at Stellar Pain and Spine Specialists, Dr. Morker enjoys international travel, sports like basketball and football, and ancient Roman and Greek history.
